The Wellbeing Campus provides a much-needed refuge for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life. If a daily retreat is what’s needed, we can give you just that!
With a full-time yoga schedule to keep stress and tension to a minimum, and daily meditation and mindfulness to enhance self-knowledge and equanimity, we have just what the body, mind, and soul needs to keep you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and resilient during tough times.
Our aim is simple: to positively influence the mental health and overall well-being of the local community and beyond, through sharing the ancient teachings of yoga, meditation and metta - or loving-kindness in the ancient language of Buddha.
Coming Soon: Our Karma Yoga Project currently offers free mindfulness and yoga classes to anyone struggling financially and experiencing stress, anxiety, chronic illness and/or social isolation. We are currently fundraising to make a new, volunteer-led initiative available to anyone in need of extra support during these trying times. We want our offerings to be available to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness training can have a beneficial impact on a range of different issues in life. We offer daily classes and courses as well as evidence-based interventions focused specifically on anxiety, stress and chronic illness.
Clinical trials have shown that mindfulness meditation can be as effective as prescription painkillers in reducing pain, and can enhance the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Mindfulness can also reduce the anxiety, irritability, exhaustion, and insomnia that arises from chronic pain and illness. There is evidence to show that mindfulness training can be just as effective as antidepressants for managing depression.
